It also gets along well between the Chow Chow and slightly older children. This intelligent dog quickly gains a will of its own. He is agile and suitable for training. He is often chosen for his dignity and beauty. Most of all, he is a loyal and friendly companion.

Appearance

Chow Chows are long-haired or short-haired Chinese purebred dogs. They have a lion-like appearance and a blue-black tongue. The coat of the long-haired Chow Chow is full, with a thick undercoat and long guard hairs around it. They have a nice collar and pants. The short-haired Chow Chow has smooth, sturdy hair with or without an undercoat. The Chow Chow’s colors vary between black, red, cream and piebald. This teddy bear is very popular in Great Britain and the United States. ‘The Chow’ grows to a maximum height of 38 cm and weighs between 20 and 32 kg.

Other particulars

The Chow Chow is an ancient breed and originally a hunting dog. Chows like space and a lot of exercise. So it is good to take long walks with it. Be careful with extreme heat. Chow Chows feel best on a large estate. They sometimes dare to be lazy indoors. As a puppy they need a consistent upbringing. The Chow’s impressive coat requires little maintenance. He does lose hair in the moulting period. It is sufficient to thin out the coat daily with a wide comb and brush. Make sure you don’t get too much undercoat out. A Chow Chow lives an average of 11 to 12 years.

[27
post-2123","breed","type-breed","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","species-dog
["GET
