The Border Collie is professional and athletic with tremendous stamina. He is a talented keeper of all livestock. Border Collies are working dogs that are loyal to their owner and take their job very seriously. They are extremely intelligent and generally do well with children. Borders are beautiful dogs with a shoulder height of 53 cm for the males. Females are usually slightly smaller. You can recognize them by their long coat, happy muzzle, erect ears and bushy tail. They come in all colors and combinations of colors and markings. Their weight varies between 12 and 20 kg.
Border Collies are not very sensitive to weather influences due to their thick coat. However, weekly brushing is not a luxury. They are very mobile so they require sufficient space and freedom of movement. Borders are happy if they are assigned enough tasks.
